Archipelago (2009-2010) was a studio experiment which was never resolved. It was conceived as an installation which consisted of series of perspex painted on both sides with acrylic emulsion with armatures constructed with wood to make the forms free standing. The forms were placed on a table top together with a series of spice mounds. This work led to the idea for Trade (2013), where I used a series of spice mounds. The perspex forms are still in the studio awaiting some form of resolution. Perhaps they can become a project for a public art project as large freestanding billboards
